An Announcement of the Universal Virtual Jazz Flute Big Band

 

It will be a brand new form of a flute big band in that anyone from anywhere in the world can join the band online. Anybody, whether you do or do not have experience in jazz performance, will be able to participate without any audition. We will learn about jazz articulation and improvisation via Zoom along the way until a final virtual performance is presented. This event will be organized twice a year and players will become band members with each entry for the event.

February - May (Entry deadline: February 15th)

Repertoire: What Is This Thing Called Love?, Spain.

 

During each season, there will be an online rehearsal every month. A recorded video of the rehearsal will be available for those unable to attend.

Members of the band will be asked to self-record a video of themselves playing after the final rehearsal and to submit it. They will be edited and the virtual ensemble will be presented on Youtube.

(Instructions on how to self-video-record will be sent with the music.)

 

How to join:

1. Fill out the entry form with your name, email address, and your preferred part. (Please be aware that the deadline for the entry will change every season)

 

2. Participation fee is JPY5000 per season. It can be paid through Paypal or (within Japan) bank transfer. Please note that the fee is non-refundable. (Students half price)

このフルートビッグバンドは世界中からオンラインで参加する事が可能出来る新しい形のフルートビッグバンドです。ジャズの演奏経験がある方でもない方でもオーディション無しで参加出来ます。Zoomによるオンラインリハーサルでジャズ・アーティキュレイションやソロについて学びながらみんなで作品を作り上げていきます。この企画は1年に2回開催され、エントリーによってメンバーになることが出来ます。

期間/ 2月〜5月（エントリー締切：2月15日)

課題曲：恋とはなんでしょう？ 、スペイン

 

シーズン中は毎月1回のオンラインリハーサルを行います。参加出来ない場合は録画をお送りします。

最後のリハーサルの後に各自演奏した録画を提出してください。編集後にヴァーチャルアンサンブルをYouTubeにて公開します。

(録画の提出方法は楽譜と一緒にお送りします)

 

 

参加方法は以下の通りです。

1, このエントリーフォームに名前、Emailアドレス、希望のパートを一つ記入し送信してください。(シーズン毎にエントリーの締切があるのでご注意ください)

 

2, 参加費はシーズン毎に一人5000円です。支払いにはPaypal、銀行振込(日本国内のみ)がご利用頂けます。一度お支払い頂いた参加費はご返金出来ませんのご了承ください。(学生は半額)
